A Concert to Celebrate and Commemorate the reign of HM Queen Elizabeth II

The Swansea Festival returns this autumn with a special concert to celebrate and commemorate the reign of HM Queen Elizabeth II on 29th October 2022 at the Brangwyn Hall.

To mark the occasion the Festival has commissioned Sir Karl Jenkins to write a new work entitled ‘This Faithful Life, with text by poet Grahame Davies. Sir Karl will conduct this world premiere. The concert will feature:

Catrin Finch (harp)

Steffan Lloyd Owen (baritone)

Swansea Philharmonic Choir and the British Sinfonietta

Conducted by Jonathan Rogers

The concert will be hosted by Huw Edwards (BBC News)

The programme includes Royal favourites by Handel, Hubert Parry, Walton and Welsh composers.
