Our Spring Concert – Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria

It was lovely to have had such an appreciative audience to come to hear and support our Spring concert on 1st April in the Brangwyn Hall on such a gloriously sunny day.

Our Chair, Hazel Phillips, said :

“The Lauridsen proved to be a moving performance and the Puccini was clearly appreciated by the audience. Many thanks to the British Sinfonietta and our two soloists, Dafydd Jones (Tenor) and Meilir Jones (Bass) for helping to make the evening such a success. Of course, special thanks to Susan and Jon: Susan for her valuable contribution as our accompanist during the term; and Jon, whose talent as our Musical Director and Conductor makes all the difference when it comes to attention to detail, setting the highest standards and getting the best from the choir.

The choir looks forward to inviting everyone to our next concert on 10th June in St Mary’s Church in Swansea. We will be singing Renaissance and Baroque music by William Byrd and J.S. Bach.
