Chris Samuel BA (Hons), PGCE

Chris Samuel was recently appointed as accompanist to the Swansea Philharmonic Choir. A native of Swansea, he has a wealth of experience in the musical world, especially in education and accompanying choirs and soloists. He had piano lessons with Brenda Llewelyn.
Chris graduated with honours in music at Cardiff University and went on to teach music at Blaengwawr School, Aberdare, before being appointed as Director of Music at Llandovery College. He then taught music at Bishop Gore School, Swansea, before becoming head of the music department there.
Chris now dedicates his time to teaching the piano and as well as the Swansea Philharmonic Choir, he is the accompanist to the Swansea Male Voice Choir and the Gower Chorale. He also plays the harpsichord continuo with the Red Dragon Ensemble.
